Joint Meeting
Bangalore, Sep 21: A Joint Meeting of KEL Dubai, KE Bangalore, Dimensions –
Mumbai, Rachana – Mangalore and a few prominent Christian Leaders from Mysore
led by Mr. Gratian was held on 17th September- 2011 at Hotel Grand Magrath at
5pm. Mr. Ivan Fernandes, Chairman, KE-Global, Ms. Shobha Mendonca, President,
KEL Dubai, Mr. Robinson D’souza, President, KE Bangalore, Mr. Freddy Mendonca,
President, Dimensions - Mumbai, Mr. Marcel Monteiro, Past President of Rachana,
Mangalore, along with the Directors, Lead Members of respective organizations
and special invitees participated in the meeting.

It was a historic moment for KE, Bangalore to
organize an event in which four organizations having similar purpose
participated.
Robinson D’Souza, President, KE- Bangalore, extended a warm and hearty welcome
to all the delegates of the respective organizations. He gave an update of KE
Bangalore meetings and activities, such as industry visit to Deccan Group and
Suvidha – A premium retirement village, enrolment of members, etc.


Ms. Shobha Mendonca, President, KEL – Dubai,
introduced her team members to the gathering. She also gave an update of the KEL
activities since the last KE joint meeting held in April – 2011.
Mr. Freddy Mendonca, President, Dimensions, Mumbai, informed of their
activities. He said that they meet on 4th Saturday of every month at 7:45 am. He
invited members of the associated organisations to attend their meetings
whenever they happen to be in Mumbai. “Dimensionally Yours’, a monthly
newsletter is circulated to all. He requested to provide him the postal
addresses of all the members of all the associations so that he can forward
copies of their news letter to them directly.

He explained in brief, about the Global convention “Entreprenet -2012” a Joint
project of KE-Global and Dimensions. He invited everyone to participate in the
Convention and make it a success.
Mr. Marcel Monteiro, past president of Rachana, Mangalore, a 12 years old
association, with a membership of over 400 gave an update of various activities
conducted by them and also of the Rachana Awards. He mentioned of the proposed
Catholic Club project in Mangalore.
In his message Mr. Ivan Fernandes, Chairman, KE-Global, recalled the thought to
form the entrepreneurs association and the early stages of KE since 2004,
subsequent formation of KE Bangalore, association with Rachana, Dimensions, and
Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) Mumbai with a pool of over
1600 entrepreneurs and professionals. He mentioned that members should derive
the benefit of this association by networking. He stressed that time should be
spent on strengthening the organizations by supporting each other. One should
carry a positive thought and positive attitude for the benefit of each other and
the organizations. Talking about Entreprenet -2012, core of convention will be
“Exploiting the network”. Global business cannot be promoted individually. It
requires partners. He sent a strong message to the audience to participate in
Entreprenet – 2012 and derive the benefits of strong networking.
The success story of Deccan Group was presented by its directors, Adrian D’souza,
Lavina D’Souza and Clarence Pereira. With a group turnover of INR 1500 million
and an employee strength of over 1000 it has diversified business in Leather
fashions, Power transformers and Steel/ UPVC doors and windows. Its professional
management and HR initiatives are praiseworthy and its achievements are
laudable.
A new business initiative “Kanara Business Park” was launched. Adrian D’Souza
mentioned that a LLP company will be floated shortly. It is proposed to develop
a Land bank of about 50 acres of land with modern state of the art
infrastructure for commercial purpose. KE members will have an opportunity for
investment as well as business options.
Who says that “Cow gives milk? One should extract it” - sending the audience
into laughter with his Master Strokes, Mark D’souza, President –elect emphasized
that every member should learn the art of extracting the benefits of Networking.
Charles Gomes, Past President of KE, Bangalore, thanked everyone who had made it
possible and their involvement for the betterment of the society community.
