Feast of the Nativity of Mary at Mysore.
Mysore, Sep 11: The Feast of the Birth of Mary "MONTI FEST" was celebrated
with its pomp and glory under the banner of the KONKANI CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION of
mysore, on 11th of September at St. Philomena's Cathedral Church in the presence
of thousands of Konkani Catholics from all over Mysore, Kodagu and
Chamarajanagar. The Eucharistic concelebration was at 10am presided over by Fr
Desmond Rebello with other five Priest . Hundreds of children honoured Mother
Mary by offering flowers to at grotto where the new corn were blessed. After the
all the people shared and consumed the blessed new corn with Traditional
Mangalorean "VORN"
Konkani Christian Association took the leadership of the whole event. Rt Gracian Rodrigues, the President of Association welcomed the gathering and expressed the festal greetings, Mr. John William Dsouza, the General Secretary raised the vote of Thanks.
