Monthi Fest by Konkani Catholic Sangh,
Yeshwanthpur
Bangalore, Sep 8: Konkani Catholic Sangh, Yeshwanthpur celebrated the Monthi
Fest at Christ the King Church, Malleswaram on 8th September, 2011 at 10.30 am.
The church and the cheral were beautifully decorated with orchids.
The members with their family members and guests,
approximately 600 numbers gathered in the church for the feast. We started with
the Novena and then sang ‘Sakkad Sangata Melyan’. The procession was started
from the church and went around the church and then gathered near Mother Mary’s
grotto and venerated ‘Mamma Mary’ with flowers and hymn ‘Moriyek Hogolsiyan/
After the veneration to the Mother Mary, the Konkani mass was concelebrated by
Fr.Victor Rodrigues, SDV, Fr.Jerome D’Souza, Claratian, Fr.Maxim D’Souza, and
Fr.A.Michael, Parish Priest.
We had grand ‘Noven lunch with all the members and their guests approximately
600 Nos. with Vorne, Roce and Sanna. Thereafter sugar canes were distributed to
children as well as all the families.
